Recording Tips – MUST READ!

To ensure you receive the best film you can, please follow the instructions below when capturing video.

• Do NOT Zoom while recording.
• Record through the whole in the fence when possible. If not, record from around 5-6 feet back, so the camera will not ‘focus’ on the fence.
• The best position to record from is at the backstop, behind the catcher, a couple feet to the right or left so you can see the pitch.
  • For even better results, if possible, move to right of ump for a right handed batter, and left of ump a left handed batter.
• Frame your shot between 1st and 3rd base.  You should be able to capture the complete infield, making it unnecessary to move the camera.
• Hold the camera as still as possible, and only move when necessary.
• Start recording when the pitcher settles, and is about to begin her motion.
• Do NOT stop recording until the ball has been returned to the pitcher.  This will enable us to capture base throws and stolen bases for tagups.
• If a runner attempts to steal a base, and is thrown out, do NOT click ‘End at Bat’ until that complete at bat is finished.
• Do NOT forget to hit ‘End At Bat’ when the at bat is finished.
• Film the game, NOT the player.  By now, we know she knows they way to first base, you don’t have to show us.
• Remember, everyone will hear everything you say and do while recording.
• Record through the whole in the fence when possible. If not, record from at least 3 feet back, so the camera will not ‘focus’ on the fence.
• Your phone should be fully charged when  you begin recording.
• Apps can crash some times.  If this does happen while recording, simply log back in, and continue.
• If you are recording a game, do NOT, start a new game.  On the ‘App’ tab, click the ‘Games’ tab from the sub-menu, then the 3 dot sub-menu, and click ‘Continue Game’.
